The Big 4 (Part 1)

Tournaments are fun, tell me I'm wrong.

Something interesting happened recently.

UNational is starting an experimental annual tournament known as The Big 4 Round Robin. And recently, round 1 streamed to those in UNational.

I watched it. Raimond Reece, Rudy Tillmann, Brody Tillmann, and Selena Hartfeld all played the other day (October 8, 2025).

These are their games:

They are very interesting games. I liked them.

Their current standings are as follows:

1. Rudy Tillmann (2207), 2-0

2. Raimond Reece (2078), 1-1

3. Selena Hartfeld (2023), 1-1

4. Brody Tillmann (1999), 0-2

Notice Rudy destroyed both Raimond and Brody? I thought this was interesting. Also, why did everyone playing as white win their games? Black didn't win a single game in Round 1. I hope it changes in Round 2.

Fun Fact: Rudy Tillmann currently has the highest recorded Elo in UNational history. He is predicted to grow up to 3000 (Elo is easier than in FIDE to gain), and he is only 19 at the moment.
