Weekly Puzzle 3

This week I have something new for puzzles. This is going to be a fairly difficult puzzle, since my thought process when making this puzzle was absolute nothingness. Without further ado, here's Weekly Puzzle #3.

The theme of this puzzle is Mate in 4. Can you find the right moves?

This puzzle was certainly a baffling thing to create. I made it from random thoughts and randomly places pieces on my chessboard at my house. It was.... interesting when I figured it out. I certainly loved making this puzzle.

Move Explanations:

1. ... Qd3+

This begins the checkmate series for Black. This is the right move, since there are a few possibilities here. Had White moved the king, there'd have been a faster checkmate.

2. Re2

This blocks the check from the queen gets the rook pinned to the king.

2. ... Qd1+

This continues the checkmate threat. This is the right move for Black to play, as the next few moves will force White to do one thing.

3. Re1

This blocks the check and puts Black's queen in danger.

3. Bd3+

This is a brilliant move! This delivers check to the king, and the king is forced to move.

4. Kg1

Forced.

4. ... Qxe1#

And the game is over

I am sorry this post is much shorter than the others. Last night I did not get any sleep (I accidentally pulled an all-nighter). So I am tired and I made this all today in just thirty minutes, sorry  again.

Thank you for reading this though! This was certainly one of the more interesting puzzles to do. Stay tuned!
