Hello everyone, i just got 1600 rapid rating on December 20. This is my first time writing a blog and the reason i wrote this blog is because i want to practice my writing skills for the 2024 Daily Chess Championship.

In this game i play as white and i opened the game with d4 because i love london system, and my opponent responds with f5, the dutch defense. Dutch defense controls the important e4 square but it weakens black's kingside. I played with 70% accuracy, i made 3 mistakes, 3 misses, and 1 blunder because i suck.

After some moves, we both already castled and developed their pieces, but the position is closed, at move 14 black played b6 and i played b4, my plan is if black takes the pawn i take back with my b pawn, and i got an open file for my rook. At move 20 i blundered my pawn because i'm only human, and... i made my position worse. Black's pawns on the queenside is too powerful, i can't stop the pawns, but black made a mistake Qc4, trading their queen. That move is a big mistake because my a pawn is unstoppable now and i win, yay happy.png.

So... things we can learn from this game are, always think before making a move, don't play too fast (game ended with 5 mins on the clock), open files are very good for your rooks, if you're losing always hope they will blunder. That's all from me, thank you for reading and see you in the next blog <3
