Hi I'm assuming you clicked on this because you want to be a better chess player well I guess you've came to the right place.. So right off the bat I'm not so good at chess myself but I do have some things that I can tell you than can help improve your games.

1st. breaks, Breaks are good sometimes but don't take one for too long otherwise you might just lose your chess skills. I have expirienced it and I lost my chess skill so take breaks for  2-3 days if you need one.

2nd. tilts, Tilts are terrible you might get them if your feeling a bit anxious or stressed in a game and they can cause you to lose your rating and sadly that's happened to me multiple times. so play chess if your in a pretty good mood!

3rd. Looking out for attacks/checkmates. Looking out for attacks/checkmates in chess is key. whenever your opponent makes a move try to understand what they are after for and if possible try to protect it. This is very useful because you shouldn't play your games mindlessly you should have some plans.

4th. reviewing games. Reviewing games is another good thing to do in chess you should always review your games to see what your having problems with so you can improve on that and yes I understand you might not have membership to get unlimited game reviews but you do get a free game review everyday but for those who don't have membership to review games just go into some active club and ask to review your game.

5th. Studying games. You should try studying grandmasters games/titled players games because it can help you improve a lot I know some people who just watch titled players/grandmasters games and they are really good so try doing that as well.

6th. Puzzles, Puzzles are not only challenging but they are also fun to do and yes I understand you might not have membership to get unlimited puzzles but they give you a free puzzle every day so try do puzzles!

7th. Studying openings & endgames. Studying openings  isn't really hard just look at some opening try them out and see which works best for you tho endgames are a little harder to study but I'd recommend studying them both.

Anyways that's its and keep in mind "When You See A Good Move, Look For A Better One." - Emanuel Lasker

anyways I hope you enjoyed this have a good day or good night depending on where you live : )
