Hello everyone, today I'm going to introduce you to the Berlin Defense.

What is the Berlin Defense?

The Berlin Defense is a somewhat obscure line in the Spanish side of the 1990s (I'll be starting a blog post about it soon) that came back into the spotlight at the end of 2000 when Vladimir Kramnik used it in his long duel in London against Kasparov. Kasparov, surprised by this museum piece, couldn't overcome its extreme solidity.
