Hi all chess lovers!

It's been a long time since I posted anything on my blog here. I did a 6-part series some time back on how to create a chess engine from scratch and it was quite popular. Now I recently bought a ChromeCast device to watch Netflix, but I soon discovered that you could make apps for the ChromeCast device.

Naturally, the first thing I did was to look for chess apps supporting the ChromeCast device. What could be more fun than to watch chess games on the big screen or play chess against your TV!! Well, to my disappointment I could not find a SINGLE chess app (at least on Android which I use) that supported viewing chess games on the TV. So, being a programmer I thought why not create my own app to play through chess games on the TV?

And in fact that is what I have now done!! Initially, this was just an app for me and nobody else, but I actually thought I would make it available for all Android users (for a small price - this will go into development for new features (time is precious as you know)).

Anyway, you can take a look at it here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pondar.chesscast

I hope people will like this - you can load any pgn file and play through the game on your TV.

I hope later to get the time to implement my chess engine in this app, so you can also play against your TV!

Here are some screenshots - one is displaying what you will see on the TV and the other is the app.
