online chess record: 32 wins, 6 losses, 2 draws

August has come and gone. I played another 20 games of online chess. It was almost overwhelming. Didn't feel like I was learning so I paired down my groups trying to focus on learning. At one point I had 15 games going.

Now I have started playing more live chess. Noticed I'm not fighting in long games to go to an endgame. I resign rather than take it to checkmate or fight for a stalemate/draw.

Live online games are so different for me than OTB games. Didn't realize how different but I've only played 4 long games and only won in blitz once. I'm making progress.

I'm trying openings outside my comfort zone. Still making blunders with the mouse or choosing too quickly.

I've tried reading chess books and reviewing games but it's like a foreign language without an interpreter. It's interesting but I don't know how to translate it into my understanding. I'd like some discussions or coaching, but not sure how to find it. I sent a message to someone local requesting resources and didn't receive a response. That sucked.

Enough for now.
