Yes, we do teach chess at the Wednesday night chess club. We have many players of varying levels so even just watching and answering questions will teach you a lot. Pre-pandemic, we had a few teens who would stop by fairly regularly and eventually became very strong players. There is no formal teaching or coaching at this time but again most players are open to teaching those with less experience. @blitznikov
Hi all, does anybody here want to play a game of "Vote Chess"? We got a challenge from another group, I'll accept if people are interested. 3 days per move, discussion before voting is allowed. Not every group member must vote on every move, although if nobody votes within the 3 day period then the team forfeits.
@cjb136 The in person Lancaster Red Rose Chess Club meets at the Lancaster Elks Lodge #134 located at 219 N. Duke Street Lancaster, PA 17602 Wednesday nights starting at 6:30pm until closing (closing time varies based on the number of customers at the bar). There is food and a bar. Food is served until 8pm. Parking can be found either at the back of the building or the front. All ages are welcome. You must ring the doorbell to be allowed into the building.
