If one player loses on time (that is, an "OUT OF TIME" appears next to that player's username in the game), you can continue the game using the "Analyze" button. Thanks to Tanya Christiansen and Kayla Self for this tip!
To start your chess game, one of you (either you or your classmate opponent) needs to issue a challenge on Chess.com to the other one to start the game. On Chess.com, go to "Play" (far left on the menu bar). Then pick "Online Chess" from the drop-down menu. On the right menu, pick "Start New Game." The new game menu will (on the left) let you select "member" and enter the Chess.com username of your opponent and set the parameters of the game.
Hi, students, Chess.com will delete the notation of your chess game after 4 weeks. Please save the notation of your game when you finish playing it. If you are missing a game you played, email <aroot@utdallas.edu>. Dr. Alexey Root has a premium membership and can retrieve your game's notation for you. Thanks, Alexey
