Format

The Pro Blitz Chess League is a team based competition, consisting a regular phase and a playoffs phase. Four games per player is demanded each week. All the games will be 3 minutes 2 second increment 3|2 time control. The games must be rated. Won games are worth 1 point, drawn games are worth half a point and lost games are worth 0 points. Unplayed games will award points to the player that tries to play with their opponent.

Regular Phase

You must play 4 games with your opponent each week. Whichever team that gets the more points gets a match point. In case there are an odd number of teams a team each week will get a bye week.

Tiebreaks are as follows: 1) Game Points 2) Least Forfeit losses and Forfeit draws 3) Average Team Score

Playoffs Phase

First there will be a round of 16 and quarterfinals elimination. In case of a tie in the round of 16 and quarterfinals higher seed will advance. In the round of 16 #1 will vs #16, #2 vs #15, etc. Seedings will be made by team average. After the round of 16 and quarterfinals there will be a round robin. Last 4 teams standing will get a rank depending on there record in the round robin. Best record wins the playoffs, 2nd best record finalist, 3rd best record 3rd place, 4th best record 4th place.

Requirements

Have been a member of chess.com for at least 3 months.
Have played at least 25 blitz games. (Games vs live bots do not count. Only vs real humans)
Have never had an account restricted for violating the fair play policy.

If you filled out the form but don't meet the requirements than you may join a team when you meet the requirements(besides being restricted for violating the fair play policy). You may ask for special permission. If I accept you than you can join a team. If I know you and think you didn't violate the fair play policy you can also join a team.

Teams

Each team will have 6 players. They will be divided into 6 different boards by rating. Highest rating plays for B1, lowest rating plays for B6. The average team rating may not surpass 1750 average(Its 1750 average since its called Pro Blitz Chess League). The total rating of all blitz players may not surpass 10500 rating.

The rating used will be the peak from the last 12 months. If your peak from the last 12 months is under 800 then you will be counted as 800 rating.

Once the team starts you cannot change your lineup. One of the players must stand in the team captain position.

Team Captain

A team captain also stands in a player position.

Recruit, Manage, and Represent their team.
Find a substitute player if needed. Put the substitute players in your lineup so that we know that you have a substitute.
Provide a team name no longer than 32 characters long.
Be active and communicate for as long as their team lasts in the league.
(Optional) Make a team logo.

Player

A player responsibilities throughout the season are:

Negotiate by private message or in the negotiation thread when they can play.
Play their game with their opponent at the negotiated time.
Post their game results at the results thread.
Communicate with their team captain in case of impossibility to participate on a certain week or a period of time.
Have their live chess settings to get challenges from everyone.

Substitutes

Substitute players will stand in the condition for players. They will play if the player cannot play that week or the team captain wants a substitute to play in a certain week. Substitute players may also be recruited mid-season(They cannot be recruited during the playoffs).

Subs are allowed to play for only 1 team per week. *

For a substitution to be valid:

You must include the substitute in the team roster if recruited before the season starts. If you recruit mid-season then you must contact @superstargod.
All rating rules on the teams section must be observed. The substitute may not be 100 or more higher rated than the player.

All players that have signed up on the official form as a player and haven't been assigned to a team will be shifted to the condition of a substitute. *

If a substitute has played for a team 2 weeks they may not substitute for a different team. *

Forfeits

If your opponent doesn't show up(isn't online) at your scheduled time to play and doesn't come online for another 30 minutes then you will negotiate with your opponent again. If they were busy or something then you can schedule another time. If your opponent doesn't show up 2 times in a week you will be awarded a forfeit win.

If both players don't show up then I will determine the fair result. If you feel it was unfair than contact @superstargod and I will get all the admins to vote on it. You may only ask 3 times in a season.
