CM Grouvilleknight (Graham Mooney) originates from Dundee, Scotland and has lived in Jersey since December 2006. I am pleased to report that he is through to the next round, hopefully not at my expense.

Westview2016 who recently suffered a brilliant checkmate from Risdr (see earlier report) put Obispooscuro (Christie Williamson) to the sword with a classic checkmate in 9 moves.
Two days ago Richard Two secured two victories to take him to the top of his group and closer to progressing to round two. This also happens to be his first two wins in his first daily tournament!
Winawer99 (Jonathan) and BrianJosephC (Brian Cunningham) make it through to the next round. Brian has been online since 2018 and has 322 daily games under his belt whilst Jonathan, who also joined in 2018, has 3713 games to draw experience from.

PhishFinger make short work of CDPDW (Chris de Planta) in just 19 moves as he captured blacks queen and Chris decided to resign. So far, at move 17, it’s 50/50 in their final game.
Westview went from +5.2 playing black but on move 13 he played Qa5 only to suffer checkmate on the next move when Risdr played Bf4# Checkout the game as it unfolded here: Checkmate in 14 moves
Obispooscuro (Christie Williamson) gets his second win playing black against Risdr (Harry). Honors were even until move 16 (see pic).
Mazdadon (Don Pink) with 1000 games since 2013 makes a great start to the tournament with 2 early wins. He’s now putting all of that experience into good effect as he holds back Thatsagas in both games.

It's all happening! IMPlimsol is pacing himself but I'm sure NMSacbutt has his own master plan - that's not to rule out Gloxx and Kraparsov just yet.Â
