English Chess Federation - Members
ECF Members - This is the official Chess.com Club of the English Chess Federation open to ECF members and supporters who will be eligible to play in regular ECF club tournaments and events and achieve an ECF online rating.
Joining - To join the club you must first be a member or supporter of the ECF which you can join here: https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-membership-rates-and-joining-details/ You should then:
- Fill out the following ECF Authentication form (https://www.chess.com/news/view/english-chess-federation-authorization-form-1).
- Click the "Join" button on the club home page.
f you are unable to complete the form for any reason or the redirect doesn't work please click the join button on the club home page and include your ECF Membership ID and full name with your joining request.
We will approve verified applicants as quickly as we can!
Club Events - We currently run five ECF organised and rated club tournaments each week at blitz and rapid time controls as follows:
🐇ECF Sunday Evening Rapid - Starts at 20-00, 5 rounds Swiss at 10|2
🐇🔥 ECF Tuesday Improvers - Starts at 17-30 with a mix of blitz and rapid events
🐇 ECF Mid-Week - Starts at 7 pm, 4 rounds, 15|5 Swiss format.
🔥 ECF Thursday Afternoon Blitz - Starts at 14-00, 7 round Swiss at 5|2
Ratings - Club tournament games are rated by the ECF with 4 digit ECF online ratings published on a monthly basis for different time controls in the ECF national lists here: www.englishchessonline.org.uk on a monthly basis. ECF online ratings are completely separate from ECF OTB ratings which will not be impacted by online games.
