How do you play with and against e4? I mean I doubt i'd ever play it as my first move seriously but sometimes, idiots like the person I just played were like "let's turn the d4 position into an e4 position" and I screw up 2 moves after this transposition because I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY AGAINST E4. also i can't see basic tactics but that's besides the point(rip me playing good chess for like 2 weeks ). Anyways I heard a rumor that you have to send and annotate a game? yeah i'll do that now see this is why I ask this question HOW DO YOU PLAY AGAINST/WITH E4 WHAT IS THIS GARBAGE

As my first "real" educational post here at B&M, I will be demonstrating a very instructive endgame I played a few days ago where I had an endgame balance of a couple of minor pieces versus a plethora of kingside pawns. I played from the black side, and I will only be annotating the endgame because the earlier phases of this game weren't too important. Skip to move 33 for the actual annotations. And now, on to the actual endgame: An 81-move game! That took a lot of precision, patience, and calculation, but I persevered in the end. The main reason that I was able to convert that was for a recent endgame that I studied, which is shown below as well. While the above example wasn't super relevant to the game I played, the important concepts of the knight's route to h1 and the blockade helped me with this game.

Ok now this is epic. Is this why everyone supports the Slavs over in Ukraine? Beginners & Masters is a lot like the hit book/TV show Game of Thrones. A kingdom with many interesting characters in it, and the occasional drama and lots of excitement, battling and a great sense of community. In honor of our members, I've compiled a fun list of the most active members and said what they would be if they were in the show “Game of Thrones." This is a high honor as everyone in the show is completely awesome, even if they’re bad. if you are selected I ask you please change your pfp to your assigned picture in the name of the memes! At least for a day or two Starting with me.. @viznik (in the beginning) - Daenerys Targaryen Reason: Even though she is the main character of the show and rides dragons, that is not why I am here. I wanted to be Ned Stark, who is a noble leader and very kind. Unfortunately, it has came to my attention I am more like Daenerys Targaryen due to the following reasons. Daenerys set out on her conquest to the iron throne with very good intentions. She wanted to give back to the people, she wanted to be a leader for the people. But when she became the king and sat on the iron throne, the power went to her head and she became a tyrant. She began to use her dragons to torch cities and kill innocent people. This is very similar to my story. I created Beginners & Masters with great intentions, I wanted to help people just like Daenerys. But then I sat on the iron throne and became a tyrant. I am still a tyrant… you will see at the end of this post how one of our members did exactly what happened in the show to Daenerys. Thankfully, I never got my cheeks clapped by Khal Drogo, though. @DaBabyBurner / @DasBurner - Jon Snow Reason: A mysterious fellow who never had any desires to be King, but fate thrusted him into leading. Loved by all. Often disappeared at times beyond the wall to hang out with the wildlings (like he’s doing right now). Only shows up when truly needed (when things get out of hand). @ninjaswat - Ramsay Bolton Reason: Dude is insane but also smart as heck. Completely unpredictable and might hack your face off for no reason. Very aggressive and demeaning to other people, but not because he wants to be mean but because he truly sees himself as better than everyone else and everyone is lesser. But also very loyal to his kingdom and will fight to the death for it. Very eccentric and immense attention to detail. Loves to see people suffer and will never miss a detail that will result in someone suffering LOL -Edit- totally true online hehe @little_guinea_pig - Little Finger Reason: Wants to be King, always trying to overthrow the kingdom but always failing time and time again. Constantly plots to overthrow the kingdom but nobody ever goes along with them. Believes they should be king because they’re them and that’s good enough. Also very charming and persuasive, and will also deny everything said above, hence even more reason why they are truly little finger LOL. -Edit- HE IS THE REAL TYRANT @B1ZMARK - Ayra Stark Reason: Uses a weird ass sword [it's a rapier via -_-] (plays weird chess) but absolutely dominates huge knights with their tiny little needle sword. Is a complete weirdo that walks around town muttering absolutely bizarre stuff (B1Z theory threads) but is somehow always accurate and true. Will jump from a tree and stab you in the kidney. Disappears from the face or the earth constantly only to re-emerge with more ridiculous things to say. -Edit- would follow him around randomly yes @KeSetoKaiba - Barristan Selmy Reason: Loyal, kind, and there since the beginning. Not a mean bone in his body. Loyal to the very end, and old because he was fighting for the king since the beginning. Loved by everyone, impossible to hate. Carried a big sword, no shield needed. -Edit- big sword??? @ricorat - The Hound Reason: Shown throughout the show on and off, but was there since the beginning. Not really loyal to anybody in particular but will do whatever you ask of him if you pay him, no questions ask. Will kill you for chicken. Will often wonder aimlessly through the countryside and eventually randomly return to the Kingdom. -Edit- RUN THE RATS ARE COMING @LazyDog24 - Tyrion Lannister Reason: Smart, articulate, and well versed in politics. But also a midget who visits brothels and drinks constantly. Comes from a good home (Lannister family) so he is well educated and well spoken, but uses those skills to be provocative and argue over politics and current affairs. Lovable, cunning, and not afraid to stand up to authority with a middle finger, but at the end of the day is still a midget. Makes up for it with his brashness and self respect. -Edit- just so no one gets mad this is a joke @snow (formerly garbage) - Tormund Reason: A wildling who lives beyond the wall in the snow. Doesn’t mind the cold, actually likes it. A good guy who can get along with anyone. Despite being a wildling, somehow becomes an important character that has say in council.joke -Edit- also randomly gets good??? @Chr0mePl3tedSteel - The Mountain Reason: Because he’s JACKED. Doesn’t really play a significant role other than that. @WowThisIsWeird - Tommen Reason: A super nice, super soft kid that the kingdom would honestly be best with as their ruler. Unfortunately, the real world is a cruel place and Tommen was just too kind of a soul to be King. -Edit- TOTALLY TRUE @Nimzo-IndianaJones - Varys Reason: Lurks in the shadows and coordinates everything (B&M tournaments). Mostly speaks in riddles and nobody understands him (see recent B&M candidates tournament thread LOL) @hvenki - Bronn Reason: THE HOMIE! Everyone loves this guy. Just a chill dude, hangs out with the midget and does quests and stuff. Just a chill guy. @assasin5752 - Ygritte Reason: Lives outside the wall but plays an important role. Just living their life but also cheeky but a bit bipolar. Will shoot an arrow through your face.TRUE -Edit- so does anyone now understand how me and dark are very similar @BellaAndRosie - Sansa Stark Reason: Eloquent and soft spoken, not a foul word to say about anybody but aggressively goal oriented. Rises through the ranks fast and makes use of alliances and her charisma. A bright future. Wasn’t feared in the beginning, but now is a real threat (actually a really good underrated chess player) @colorfulcake - Red Viper Reason: A famed and excellent warrior, his downfall was being too cocky and waiting to deliver the killing blow to his opponent, which bit him! SOUNDS FAMILIAR? Think of today’s match @Loshi01 - Theon Greyjoy Reason: The runt of the Greyjoy family but the biggest heart for bravery and greatness. Oddly disappears from time to time, but everyone is glad to see him when finally comes back. Has a troubled relationship with his Kingdom so he sets out to start his own, but gets his balls chopped off my Ramsay Bolton.t -Edit- soreyyyyy loshiiii @Kowarenai - Jorah Reason: Wants nothing more than Daenery’s love. Somehow always comes back. The only way to keep him away is the ice wall. But he is building an army of night walkers … winter is coming… -Edit- HEHE I ALWAYS REMEMBER RED...THE CHRONICLE OF BEGINNERS & MASTERS In the beginning, Viznik aimed to create a club that would help everyone. The club was created and became known across the Seven Kingdoms as “Beginners & Masters”. As the club rose, so did the members who joined - legends were born. Loyal soldiers pledge their allegiance to the cause, but others sought to overthrow it. Little Guiana Pig (Little Finger) sits quietly in the darkness plotting to overthrow to this day, but is foiled constantly. Now, reincarnated.. the new king of Beginners & Masters is here… he is a fat and kind king, Robert Baratheon! He is a chill guy who does nothing but drink and hunts fox. One day out hunting, he was killed by a boat. I, too, shall one day suffer the same fate. For now, I rule with one gentle hand on the throne, and another on a mug of ale. HEAR YE HEAR YE! Egotistical, repetitive, and boring

i played this guy on lichess in a blitz match where he began losing 7 straight games, giving up some free games, resigning out of randomness and some just being straight-out weird. this was one of the games we played where he did the modified greek opening or advanced bongcloud carlsen used against andrew tang. idk if this guy was pulling some sick joke, trying to show he was better, or simply that he enjoys creeping players out. this was in the library where i am currently writing, pretty unique guy but strange as well
