I'm gonna be honest, the accelerated dragon is pretty cracked, if your opponent doesn't know what they're doing then you can steamroll them. If your opponent does know what they're doing, and starts playing g4 h4 etc then idk good luck to you, I haven't figured out how to defend against that yet.
the accelerated dragon deez nuts opening mainline:
here there's the modern variation bc4, the modern variation f3 which are the 2 most played from here. I find the f3 one more troubling as it gives them the initiative when playing g4 h4 and the pawn storm comes.
bc4 variation:
this is why accelerated dragon is so fun to play, you just end up in these sorts of complicated positions
f3 variation:
both sides in this position have an opportunity to clap your opponent and its a very interesting position to play on both sides.
Of course I doubt both sides will go into theory more than 8 moves for the most part, although the theory is quite easy to remember since there really isn't much of it. I would recommend this opening for anyone above 1200 as it's really fun to play. You often get winning chances in the opening against anyone who doesn't know much theory and is just playing out of intuition. Anyways don't ask guinea about the games between us when I played this against him, I didn't know you were supposed to play d5 there and I ended up getting steamrolled every time. idk I felt like I needed to post something educational because Lazy has been doing a lot of them, and also because I want SA, also one year on chess.com pog. I think I've come a pretty long way since being 300 last march.
