Ok people, I think we should introduce ourselfs. You may gues my name...
I live in México. Zapopan, wich a city located in the state of Jalisco (remember Tequila and Mariachis? well, all from Jalisco)
What do I do for a living?, This may come as a surprise, but actually I am a Neurosurgeon, or a Brainsurgeon if you prefer. So, yes, I'm a Physician. I also have a Master of Science degree (in Immunology) and currently I'm working on getting my PhD. (But don't even dare calling me a Nerd )
About chess, I've been playing since I was 6 or 7. I started playing seriously when I was in 8th grade. In the 11th grade I became my hometown champion. Then I stoped playing for a while, went to Medical School. I played a few tournaments while there, but never won any. Then I went to do my residency in Neurosurgery, and I couldn't play anymore for a while. Once I finished I decided to go back and get my Master of Science degree and later my PhD. I started playing again about a month ago. Had to grease uo those old gears to put the machine in motion, but I'm regaining my confdence and remembering all of those lessons.
So, I've been on and off the game for about 32 years now. Once I was even a member of USCF (rated and everything), but that was over 20 years ago. I'm starting fresh.
I accept challenges, but if I don't I'm probably just to busy doing surgery on somebody's brain, so don't take it personal.
