Some time ago I bought a 1959 UNI-VERSEL UNILOADER. It has a V4 air cooled Wisconsin engine model VH4D. I rebuilt the loader over the past summer, and it works very good. In the proses of tuning the engine it occurred to me why not build a engine analyzer for this engine, and maybe bring the ignition system up to date. It all so has a built in alternator in the flywheel, and the old style rectifier/regulator. I want to design this analyzer around a basic stamp2 module. I believe the BS2 is more processor than I need, but think it will work very well for this project. In the near future I'll post some schematics to ponder over. Also some preliminary programing code in PBASIC.
