We have been quiet for sometime, I have been away- anyone up for the next tournament please put name here and we can get under way. From past experience, there will probaly be just one, we don't seem to have enough active members for 2- such as a split between those above and below 1500.

We haven't run a tournament for 2 months now. Please put your name here if you're interested, then I can make it invite only. It will be the usual format- no vacation and 1 day per move. If you'd like seperate tournaments for under 1400 and 1400- 2000, or higher, please say, then we can set up how you'd like.

I have just generated a new Thematic tournament for 20 players. It is the Queen pawn game, 1 d4 d5 2 Nf3. It is a no vacation, 3 days move, 4 to a group playing both games and 1 player advances per group. 1350 -1600 Rate range. I invite club interested in learning this open to enter. Thank you.

This is the link for the latest tournament. I've held back because several are still in progress, but I am not involved in any personally, and I know others aren't. When some of the others are finished, we will go back to themed tournaments if you'd like them, and under 1400/ under 1500- whatever you want.

Hello.
I've sent a mail to the admin of the new team match we are filling asking them to try and recruit players in a similar range to our own. I don't object to losing matches but I would like to see a fairly even playing field and it appears some teams are more concerned with winning than having an even match. If they won't or can't field a side similar to our own I will consider canceling the match.
Tell me what you think.
