I wanted to start this topic so we could all share what we have read or are reading currently and if the book was helpful or not. I am currently reading "Pawn Power in Chess" by Hans Kmoch. I can't say it is helping me yet because I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the chess notation in this book it is not the standard algebraic. I will keep trying to get through it though.

This is my son Iain (9) and FM Mike Klein, a.k.a. "Fun Master Mike" from chess.com, getting in a blitz game at the second round of the Sinquefield Cup 2018 at the St. Louis Chess Club.

1. Download the current position by clicking the icon that looks like an arrow pointing down into an open-ended rectangle, just below the game's moves window (near the location you confirm a move decision). 2. Copy all of the long stream of letters and numbers that make up the FEN in the window that opens. It is the top-most data just above the FEN information. 3. Close the window out (if necessary), and proceed to the bottom of the page to the location that you typically post your comments in. 4. Click on the left-most icon that resembles a chessboard. 5. Click "load FEN." 6. Paste the previously copied FEN here and click "load." *If you want to show Black at the bottom of the diagram, you must click "Setup Position," click the up-and-down arrow icon. If you do this, don't forget to click "moves" again to return to adding moves! 7. Add the moves by making them onto the diagram, and right click on any move to add commentary before or after the move in question. Most moves will only allow "afterward commentary." 9. Click "insert" when you're finished to insert the diagram.
