⬆️promotion and demotion ⬇️
coordinators
To become a coordinator, if you are one of the first 14 members to join the club, you will automatically receive such privileges. However, if you are a latecomer and join the club later than that, you must first adhere to the following requirements:
1. You must have been in the club for at least 3 weeks.
2. You must have been involved in at least 5 vote chess games and 3 arenas.
3. You must have a maximum of 1 warning at the time of becoming a coordinator.
4. You must be talking in at least a few forums (there is no certain number requirement) and show an interest (via suggestions in notes, for example) in the organisation of tournaments.
If you feel that you have accomplished this, please privately contact @afm_plays_chess (the owner of this club), preferably with proof as well.
If you are demoted from coordinator to member, that means you have reached level 4 or higher in the warning system (after being chosen as coordinator), been found to be irresponsible with the privileges given to you, or been inactive for 3 weeks. You will be promptly sent a message from the owner explaining the reason behind your demotion.
Once you have been demoted, you will not be able to get promoted again. This applies to all privileged members, whether you are coordinator or admin or super admin.
administrators
Administrators (or admins, for short) have far more power and control over a club than coordinators. Thus, the requirements to become eligible are a bit more difficult to reach. Also, before you continue reading this, keep in mind that you cannot be promoted from member straight to admin. Admins are selected from the coordinators of the club. Aside from that, here are the requirements:
1. You must have been an active coordinator in the club for at least 2 months.
2. You must have been involved in at least 12 vote chess games and 8 arenas.
3. You must have made (during your time as coordinator) at least 5 vote chess games for others to play vs other clubs and organised 4 arenas.
4. You must be one of the more active chess players in the club, regularly communicating in notes, forums, as well as creating new interesting ones.
5. You must have received a maximum of 1 warning, if you have any.
6. You must answer this form to show your knowledge of the club rules.
If you think you have reached the point where you have:
answered the form,
been told that you scored full points,
and proven you have completed all of these requirements,
You're eligible! Please send me a message saying you think you've done this, and if you get this message, you're good to go - administrator privileges have been given to you.
Amazing! There is a spot available for you on the waiting list. If you respond 'YES' in full caps to this message, you will be soon granted admin access. If you respond 'NO' in full caps to this message, you will stay as a coordinator.
Then you are an admin. In terms of demotion there are a few rules to follow.
Firstly, you cannot be inactive for 2 weeks (unless you have a specific reason why).
Secondly, you cannot reach level 4 or higher in the warning system after becoming an admin.
Thirdly, you must stay one of the more active users in the club (this will be monitored.)
Fourthly, you must not be abusive with your power over the club (I have access over the entire audit log, so I will know!)
That's it.
super admins
Personally, I seriously do not think anyone will be loyal enough to reach super admin territory. Then again, if this club gets big enough I might start considering this. For now, the requirements are these:
1. You must have been an active administrator for 5 months minimum.
2. You must have no warnings at all.
3. You must be able to work with other super admins and coordinate with each other.
4. You must stand out compared to others as an incredibly loyal member.
5. You have to be able to run and handle the entire club if the owner is away.
If you become an SA, I am essentially giving you house keys. You co-own the club, and with great power comes great responsibility. You will be demoted if you are inactive for a week. You will be demoted if you are irresponsible. You are the role model for every other member. So you must be devoted.
SAs will be picked by the owner, and there is no 'application process' where you tell the owner if you have achieved this. You will be invited to a private club where everything within the main club is moderated and listed. Then you'll know you've been selected.
