To join a game, From the group's main page click on Vote Chess, then click on a game, and choose Join. Down at the bottom of the Team (Private) comments section tick the Follow box to get alerts when people post comments. Vote Chess Guidelines! Vote Chess is team oriented, a lot of fun and everyone learns if these rules are followed! First off, and probably the most important rule of all, is NO DRIVE BY VOTING!!! Drive by voting is when you go to a game and look at it and then vote nearly immediately. This is bad for the team because if too many drive by votes occur then the voting can be skewed by bad votes (Blunders) and the opposition will jump all over it. (Game over). No matter what you do, please discuss your idea's with your team members. Anyone who has decided on a Principal variation of moves should add a diagram showing the team what you have found, that would be so helpful and greatly appreciated. (Insert diagram or chess game) using the c.c tools above! After a few members have read it, along with everyone's comments, we will come up with an analysis and then decide which is the best continuation and vote for that. Sometimes a safe vote may be made usually by the team captain or 1 of the admins! Safe votes are made to prevent our group from timing out and losing the game! Second, elect a captain when a new game starts. Generally a captain can be any admin or a strong player. The captain's job is to decide on what move is the best and to call on the final vote! Usually you hold on to your vote until the 24 hour mark! Do not vote for the moves that haven't been discussed! Finally, please play this like any regular correspondence game. In essence, that is what it is. Remember, discussions with your team mates is what makes a top class VC group able to mix it with the best them! Any other ideas on how to improve our team at Vote Chess games please feel free to add your comments!
