As expected, Hikaru has beaten Vincent Keymer, and Magnus has beaten Caruana, both by a score of 1.5 - 0.5. Hikaru and Magnus will face each other in the final round, and Caruana and Keymer will face each other in the losers' bracket to eventually face either Magnus or Hikaru in the Grand Final. In other news Zach draws against a 2230 rated player in round 5 and in round 6 Zach got a very nice win with black to push himself to 3.5/6 points. Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura, Vincent Keymer, and Fabiano Caruana all reach the Semi Finals of the Paris Freestyle Chess Tournament that is taking place from Apr. 8th - Apr.14th. After an upset win, Vincent Keymer beat Ian Nepo 2.5 - 1.5 and moved on to the Semi-Finals to challenge Hikaru Nakamura which is many people's favorite to win. The next round is today and happening now so who do you think will win? Zach lost in round 1 to a WGM but was able to have a decent performance afterwards and he hopes to perform greatly in the next few rounds!
