Dear Chess Friends, In this video, I break down some of the most dangerous chess traps and sneaky gambits that catch players off guard — and show you how to avoid them. Learn why weakening your king’s side can be a critical mistake and how to develop your pieces towards the center for better control. ⚠️ I’ll walk you through classics like the Legal’s Mate and the Damiano Gambit, and explain how greed can backfire fast, leading to quick defeats. As expected, Hikaru has beaten Vincent Keymer, and Magnus has beaten Caruana, both by a score of 1.5 - 0.5. Hikaru and Magnus will face each other in the final round, and Caruana and Keymer will face each other in the losers' bracket to eventually face either Magnus or Hikaru in the Grand Final. In other news Zach draws against a 2230 rated player in round 5 and in round 6 Zach got a very nice win with black to push himself to 3.5/6 points. Keep yourself updated as the next round of the Paris Freestyle Grand Slam is underway!
