This past Saturday, we held an Online Quick rated tourney, with manual pairings and two sections. Time control was 12+3, separated into an Open and U1400, utilizing USCF ratings where possible for pairing purposes. First round started off a little bumpy with a number of the 36 pre-registered players not in attendance. After that, things ran a little more smoothly and we were able to complete the rest of the event with just a few minor hiccups. I would like to thank all the the players who made it and Danny for the prizes. Overall, things didn't work out to poorly. Not sure yet if we will do another Saturday manual event but keep an eye out on the New posts and forums. Now, on to the results. In the Open, VroomVroom5, the lowest rated player in the section, gained a bye the first round and followed that up by winning the rest of his games to finish clear first, with a final score of 5 points. Following closely behind were chessguy1012 and mattch00 at 4.5 each. The U1400 section had one player going into the fourth round having already cinched 1st place but was unable to get the win for a perfect score. robwhalen1980 finished with 4 points, closely followed by starknight123 and ISUSdominoes777 at 3.5 each.
