We had run 7 cycles of Swiss 90m+30s tourney continuously and consistently since Jun 2022 (1 game/ Round for every 2 weeks), with only 2 weeks break for registration between end of a cycle & starting of new next cycle.
I thank you all for the commitment and support. The number of withdraw / Forfeit game are relatively fair, and most of you are doing great in negotiating and scheduling the game with your opponent in promptly time. We have a small but solid community of Classical Time Control enthusiasts. I will try my best to conduct the regular tourneys continuously from time to time.
The new (8th) cycle of SWISS OPEN 90m+30s will start on Sat, Apr 13
Number of Rounds: 6 (for total 3 months)
2 weeks frame between a Round and next Round.
It will be 1 Section only this time (No Division of Top/ Middle/ Bottom)
RULES
* 0 pt starting point for Late Join
* 0 pt given for PAUSE / request for not playing in any Round.
* When odd number of players during pairing, 0.5 pt BYE is given to a player who's not paired.
Schedule:
Round 1: Apr 13 - Apr 30
Round 2: May 01 - May 15
Round 3: May 16 - Jun 02
Round 4: Jun 03 - Jun 16
Round 5: Jun 17 - Jun 30
Round 6: Jul 01 - Jul 15
Date/time to play: considering the players are from various Continent, we will never use a fixed time, but instead: you will have 2 weeks time, to negotiate with your opponent, to find the best time to play the game within that 2 weeks time frame.
