Good luck @aronian22.
A. Micro Dog #2 Game 2 (aronian22 - haoming09)
Martin, did Aronian get a notification about this game has started? I think he didn't realized that our game has started.
He is using vacation time in his other games and he was last online 3 days ago. We'll see if he finds this game when he comes back.
Will the time reset to 3 days after the Vacation Time is over or will it continue the time since Aronian issued Vacation Time after 2 days?
If the time continue it will be 1 day time for him then.
Technically the game starts after both players have made 1 move, so aronian does not need to use vacation time.
But since he already issued it, he won't be able to issue it after 40 moves or he will have another Vacation Time since this one is unnecessary?

The rule in place is this one:
After pairings have been posted a player will have 14 days to show up. Failing to show up within those 14 days may result in the game being lost by forfeit (however, the player should also receive a warning at least three days prior to the player losing by forfeit).
I have not given him a warning or a proper deadline when he must make his first move to avoid losing by forfeit. A player losing by forfeit without making a move is up to the TD and would not affect ratings.
Since he requested vacation I would consider this:
Vacation time+regular 3 days = 17 and I started this forum August 30.
So if I had to set a deadline it is September 16, but it depends when I give him a warning. I find it unlikely that I would have to do anything though and he will play his move when he is back from using vacation time.
This is a bulldog chess with witch and hunter game between @aronian22 (White) and @haoming09 (Black).
It is part of round 1 in the Advanced Micro Dog #2 Tournament.
The game will follow the correspondence rules posted here.
Time Control: 3 days/move
Timeout Warnings: 24 hours to make a move after a warning. Maximum 3 warnings. Refreshes every 40th move
Vacation Time: 14 days. Refreshes every 40th move.
Rated: This is a rated game.
Setup: See image below
Note that the position of Black's king and queen are switched compared to classical chess.
Pieces:
Hunter (H) - Moves as king when it does not capture. Captures by jumping to any of the squares shown in diagram below:
Witch (W) - The rules for the witch can be found here.
Castling:
The rules of castling are similar as in classical chess. However, with the board 10 squares wide, the king travels three squares rather than two. The rook finishes adjacent to the king. All squares between the king and rook must be unoccupied, with the exception of transparent pieces (see witch rules).
Promotion: Pawns can promote to hunter and witch in addition to queen, rook, bishop or knight.
Other rules of this game are identical with rules of classical chess.
Good luck!
