I’m sorry, I don’t know what you mean. If we’re doing capture-the-royal, there’s no such thing as stalemate.

In case your royal is a pawn, it can be stalemate by being blocked!

Stalemate is only when you can't move any pieces at all. It's very unlikely that you'll be unable to move any pieces at any point in the game, but if somehow stalemate did occur, I think it would be a draw.

Well, if there were only ahabs left, that would be pretty crazy. To prevent that, we could have a bare piece rule, that if someone gets down to only one piece he automatically loses.

That means we can set the queen to be the royal, we can win by capture her teammates!

Hmmm…. That changes a lot of the strategy and concept of the game. Maybe that’s not a good idea. I don’t know

Bare piece rule shouldn't be set. B/c if both of you have 2 pieces, a trade can let the first one who captures win!

Im the first one picking a pawn is simply losing

Maybe if you lose your 2nd last piece you have 1 turn to recapture and make it a draw

That seems a little bit overcomplicated imo. I think bare piece rule is sufficient for that.
