Community League discussion

I’ll be honest, as much as Caleb had good intentions with starting this club, it's dead and needs remodeling. The forums are there, but it isn’t helping as many people as Caleb wants it to be, and he knows that. No ‘’club admin’’ is discussing how to make clubs ‘’better’’ in the notes, and it's hopeless (I was allowed to be rude and honest ;-;).

I have a proposal, Paladins League has 60ish clubs participating, and it will be a lot of hard work to hold the events (VC tournaments and daily matches, etc.). I was first thinking of making a separate club for the owners or admins who manage the club (s) from the Paladins League, but then I also realized that taking care of it would be hard as well.

And I realized that some other random dude (Caleb, lol) also owns a club which teaches how to make clubs ‘’better’’ but it needs help as well so since 1+1 = 2 instead of it being 1 + 0 = 1 (You can tell I’m bad at giving examples). Caleb, why not partner leagues? People have been partnering clubs for longer than I’ve existed. I hope you know (you probably do) that telling clubs to post your club banners won’t get you 20ish members daily, but instead just brings out the attention that CVC exists. What will partnering leagues look like? We’ll just bring club admins to this (or another club) and hold events there and inform people about it there instead of just giving other 1000 members unnecessary notifications which is only helpful for club admins.

I just require a good team with helping clubs and holding events, we can redesign this club (or start a new one). We can start a better league than others (World League, TMAC, etc.). Even if you still don’t like the idea, I don’t mind since I’m starting a club about holding events about the Paladins League, I don’t care if CVCC starts holding VC tournaments and daily tournaments as well.

I could’ve clearly organized this much better, but I’m just going to write whatever comes to mind.

P.S. I wanted to try working with you for once

The idea looks nice on paper (coming from someone that knows barely anything about leagues)!

Also, about the “partnering leagues” basically you mean making one big league

Alright. I’m thinking we make a mega league. All seven types of club events. https://www.chess.com/play/online/create-tournament Daily for each one. We’d need a huge team though, like 100 staff members. It could be one of the biggest things we have ever done. We combine CVC x POC staff, and the goal could be 100+ events a day. That’s gonna take a lot of work though, and POC’s League is kinda dead, (ours is too recently) so we have to know both clubs are fully on board.

So Paladins League and CVCCL will combine?

Avatar of Caleb341

Yep. How about this: get POC’s members to join here. This can still be sort of what it is now, just more active and for both clubs. (I’ll make you Super Admin.) Then, we do what I posted above in both clubs, and we’ll both be ultra-active.

Its not necessarily dead since I've been planning to make the events better (just think of chess.com taking a break from legend leagues to re-do the events format, lol). All POCs staff? Or just the ones who can be helpful in making events and stuff?

Shouldn't our focus be on inviting club admins and not just normal members? We can teach people how to run clubs while holding events simultaneously.

That’s what I meant. But you inviting is less effective than just telling everyone who could be interested. It’s a public club, we want even non-club owners to learn.

How would this club get the tag? The events would still be in POC/CVC. (Except Multi-Arenas.) This would be more like a place to keep in touch with the league. No events would ever be held here. Our goal is to make our main clubs better, no?

Avatar of GMchessminator

I believe that would be possible if we do it the right way but we can keep that in future plans, I know a few people who can contact support for us to make this club verified. But as of now, we need to start inviting owners/managers of clubs from Paladins League and CVCC and then we can start inviting other club managers. Do you know any good people who can help organize events?

Avatar of Caleb341

Why not just post a public forum in POC/CVC? Tell them to join here, and we will put our staff team into the other clubs. 😁

I suppose, we can try to ''partner'' with other clubs and try to tell them to make an announcement regarding this club and in-return we can put there club in a ''special'' place

You can fix this up with AI (I don’t have it on this device.) and then post it. I’ll make a new description too.

Hello Chess.com vs. ChessKid and Paladins Of Chess! We are presenting to you an exciting opportunity! We have decided to partner our leagues! CVC and POC have been lifetime friends, but it’s time to take it to the next level! Caleb341 and I have been chatting, and we are going make a mega league: All seven types of club events! We need a huge team though, so POC staff, join CVC! (https://www.chess.com/club/chess-com-vs-chesskid) CVC Staff, join POC! (https://www.chess.com/club/paladins-of-chess) With our help, it could be one of the biggest things we have ever done. Our goal is 100 new events every day. That’s gonna take a lot of work though, so we need everyone’s support, not just staff members. We want you to join this club, where you will be learning about club adminship, and just supporting our clubs! Thanks! (https://www.chess.com/club/the-community-camp)
