Android app won't let me change my pieces or board color

Hi, I've posted about this in the Help & Support forum, but thought I would try here as it may have more Android users.

Thanks! We have a new version (3.5.3) in the app store rolling out now. I believe it should fix this.

@AWEChess1 I have an idea where the problem might be (and will forward it to our developers). 

Could you please try and turn your device off and on again and see if that makes any difference?

Also, I wonder if you're seeing avatar images in the app properly?
