@chadnilsen Is it possible they had unused vacation remaining and that's why the game didn't claim victory right away?

When I first read the OP comment, I thought perhaps his opponent had went on vacation for a short duration of time, then vacation ran out, then he could have possibly lost on time. I was not specific enough in my process of thinking when I posted my original reply to the OP.

My opponent was never on vacation time. I was online when they only had "A few minutes" left, then later I realized I never got an alert saying I won the game, so I checked the games, and it asked me if I wanted to claim the win. I never even got an alert leading me to the game so I could claim the win.
In both of these Daily Chess games, my opponent ran out time but I had to click "Claim Win" for it to count. I have always had it set to automatically claim the win, and it's always worked until now.
