What a great gambit is this.......

I just played this opening at live matches... and it was nice.... I'll keep this in my repertoire.

8.Bb5 would have been crucial.  After seeing this game I might start to use this gambit as well.  To be honest, I don't know why I haven't seen or thought of this before.  Nice game!

Hi, DJW...

It's not Tim Taylor that publishes the BDG Keybooks, but rather Tim Sawyer.  I've met him a couple of times, great guy.  He is the author of BDG Keybooks 1 and 2, as well as the Bookup CD for the BDG Keybook 2.

Gary Lane wrote a book on the BDG, but most of the material in it was superseded by Sawyer's Keybook 2.  Keybook 2 -- even though I would HIGHLY recommend checking the lines through one of the chess engines before playing them -- is still the authority on the opening.
