You read that right! The F2 superstar that subbed for Carlos Sainz for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has confirmed a "multi-year deal" with the Haas F1 Team starting in 2025.

He'll be replacing Nico Hulkenberg as he moves on to Kick Sauber (which will be completely rebranded as Audi in 2026).

The 19-year old says that it's "hard to put into words" just how much this means for him, and that he's "immensely proud" of the opportunity. He's also very grateful for team principal Ayao Komatsu and CEO Gene Haas for believing in him as a driver.

After Bearman's P7 finish in the 2nd fastest, 2nd longest, and 1st most corners [sic] track in the F1 calendar (not to mention that it's a street track) in the span of 72 hour's notice in the top tier of motorsport, Oliver shot into the spotlight and suddenly became another driver in the ever-expanding driver market, which now may still include all of these names:

  • Jack Doohan
  • Kimi Antonelli
  • Esteban Ocon
  • Guanyu Zhou
  • Logan Sargeant
  • Carlos Sainz
  • Kevin Magnussen
  • Valtteri Bottas
  • Daniel Ricciardo
  • Sebastian Vettel
  • Liam Lawson
  • Felipe Drugovich
  • Mick Schumacher
  • Theo Pourchaire
  • Ayumu Iwasa
  • Isack Hadjar

Ultimately, Haas seized the opportunity for Bearman, who will now be looking at a potential partnership with veteran Kevin Magnussen, who still needs to sign a contract for 2025.

Good for him, he was even using Carlos’ settings on his steering wheel during his substitution race, not what he’s used to.
