Often, when anyone becomes a fan of a particular sport, they tend to be overwhelmed by the terms used by the commentators and athletes. I had this myself with F1, and it took a while to learn what everything means. So, here's a video with the F1 drivers explaining common terms in the sport. I highly recommend taking 11 minutes of your time if you'd like to understand common vocabulary used by commentators, drivers, and news articles. Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C88zVofdfLs Have a great Sunday!
What do think. I'm excited for Cadillac & Valtteri Bottas. High wall to be climbed

Nico Hulkenberg - A+  Driver Of The Day Who gave this man God's divine intervention because clearly he had it His first podium in his career driving the tractor they call a Sauber Oh he also started in 19th PLACE. HE GAINED 16 POSITIONS 🗣🏎💨 Ferrari - C People said "Ferrari couldnt do worse in the race than qualifying right" then Ferrari said "Watch me" Leclerc doesn't make the points, thanks to a very questionable strategy at the beginning of the race going onto the slicks at the end of the formation lap Hamilton did place 4th, but, Its Silverstone. Of course he's gonna do good. Norris - C+ He didn't deserve the win.  Completely honest. Only reason he won is Piastri playing Brake Master 3D at the saftey car, getting a 10sec penalty for SC Infringement, and Max spinning to a place he's never seen called the mid-field teams Racing Bulls/RB Second Team - B Should not have gone double DNF tbh Lawson gets squeezed by Ocon who was squeezed by Tsunoda on the inside and causes a giant chain reaction Hadjar makes a mistake in the wet and flies into the wall

Link to story https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/perez-and-red-bull-agree-to-part-ways-following-conclusion-of-2024-season.4W2fhxOqQQX47kx3FY5Cpp  I can't talk much right now, but this is pretty huge! Comment below on your favorite Perez moments, and who should get the seat now.
Franco Colapinto has caught the eye of many people after very quickly adapting to life at Williams ever since Logan Sargeant was dropped and replaced by him. But given that Williams has already signed Carlos Sainz for 2025, he may struggle to retain a seat going forward. Williams' Team Boss James Vowles was interviewed on this subject, and even himself was surprised at how quickly Colapinto adapted to Formula 1, having expected Franco to only show true form by the Americas. He mentioned that his strength is the ability to "take all of this pressure, thousands of things that come at you, and just deal with it in his stride". After being asked about Carlos Sainz and how he compares to Franco, he went on to say that Colapinto can "drive the socks off" of the Williams car, but before that, noted Sainz's "ability to lead the team forward". The 2 vacant seats remaining are RBs seat (currently occupied by Liam Lawson) and Sauber's open seat (currently being fought over by Zhou Guanyu, Valtteri Bottas, and many others). In that regard, it's mostly sealed, but the last bits of silly season are an unknown.
I’ll speak to this more later, but in my opinion, Red Bull’s decision to drop Ricciardo mid-season is yet another ruthless, shameful decision by the team for a few reasons: 1. Back in Franz Tost’s era, Yuki Tsunoda had struggles of his own for a long time, and Helmut Marko (a boss at Red Bull) even called him a “problem child”. But Tost nurtured Tsunoda, saw his potential, and now Yuki’ seeing great success. Proves to show Red Bull’s inconsistency with their driver system. 2. Ricciardo’s favorite Grand Prix was literally next up, and he didn’t know he’d be kicked out until after Singapore! He didn’t get the send off every driver deserves. 3. On that point, apparently his replacement Liam Lawson knew that this was happening months ago! All of it was pre-planned and kept secret from Daniel. In what world is that the right thing to do to a driver that’s been a catalyst for Red Bull’s current success? 4. Given the severe lack of performance from Perez that’s likely gonna cost Red Bull the constructors championship, it’s hypocritical that he hasn’t been given the boot. 5. This seems to be all about money and desperately keeping everything they’ve got, whether it’s worth it or not, given that Liam Lawson is free to leave red Bull after September ends.  Overall, in my view, Red Bull has done it with Gasly, Albon, De Vries, and now again with Ricciardo. 4 perfectly talented drivers squandered simply because of a worse phase. Comment below on your opinion!

Singapore's race (in my opinion) had its share of action here and there, but overall was dull and difficult to sit through. Daniel Ricciardo getting driver of the day was the best part of this race, so it's unfortunately a 3.5/10 in my books. What about you? Comment below!

Rumors are swirling that Daniel Ricciardo might be swapped out for Liam Lawson in 2025, and as Red Bull have yet to make a decision, many are saying that the upcoming race in Singapore (he qualified a low 16th) might be his last chance to prove himself.  Your thoughts?

After much speculation and a long wait, Mercedes have opted for a lineup that has "experience, talent, youth, and out-and-out raw speed" (in the words of Toto Wolff, team boss).  After Lewis Hamilton's wild departure from the Mercedes outfit, silly season sprung into action, and the result has been Sainz to Williams, and now... Andrea Kimi Antonelli to Mercedes! The 18-year old F2 star will become George Russell's teammate for 2025, as well as the first Italian driver on the grid since Antonio Giovinazzi in 2021. What are your thoughts? Comment below!
Carlos Sainz will ultimately be with Williams for 2 seasons, so I thought I'd ask you folks; did he make the right choice? And will he be better or worse than Alex Albon?

The Williams outfit has done away with Logan Sargeant in their team after a disappointing Dutch Grand Prix where he caused a costly accident in Free Practice. He will be replaced by Argentinian F2 driver Franco Colapinto. The decision (linked here) comes in the midst of a tense development battle against other back markers, and with Sainz confirmed for 2025, Colapinto will have this half-season to show F1 what he has in store for Williams, and vice versa. He scored a debut in a free practice session at Silverstone earlier this year after joining Williams' academy in 2023. He sits P6 (with 1 win and 2 second places) in the F2 standings; for reference, Kimi Antonelli is 7th, with Oliver Bearman in 15th. Ultimately, F1 cars are vastly different, and most of these drivers either have vast experience in simulations or real life. In the meantime, Logan Sargeant is gone from F1 for the foreseeable future, and Colapinto's first race in Monza is less than a week away. All eyes will rest on the 21 year old as he gets his best chance to cement not just a half-season, but a full one in the premier motorsport in the world.
