Chess.com please read this

So you know if you play chess in the browser, you have chess variants and stuff, it has more stuff than the mobile app, I have been playing chess.com on mobile app for 2 years and it’s still really fun and great, I just want that chess.com could add chess variants. Thank you

The entire idea of Chess.com Feedback is for them to read our comments, so it'd be more helpful to them if your title described what you're talking about rather than asking them to do something they already plan to do.

Also, the issue with variants is that they require more space on your screen, with the exception being Chess960. If bughouse were to be implemented on mobile, you'd have no way of seeing your partner's game without both of your boards being a few pixels. Same goes for 4PC, Crazyhouse (the extra pieces that you've captured and have yet to put down), 3-check (the indicators for how many checks you and your opponent have achieved) and nearly all other variants. The only real solution to this is to have a bigger screen, so either an ipad or a pc, and it's unrealistic for there to be two mobile versions just so people with ipads can play variants.

the thing I don't understand -- and I'm not trolling here, I'm genuinely asking -- why don't people connect to chess.com on their phones through a browser instead of using the app?

I've never been convinced the app has _any_ added functionality that can't just be accessed through going to www.chess.com on a web browser within my phone. Maybe it's an android vs iOS thing, I don't honestly know.

Do variants not work through the web browser on a phone?

yeah that's the thing i play on mobile on the web and not on the app cause it's so much better

For me, my parents don't let me use the browser, only the app most of the time.

I think most people play 3/0...probably the most popular TC. The thought of playing that on a phone makes me sick. A mouse is really needed for that.

I actually find it way easier to play quickly on mobile since I can use both thumbs to immediately tap the piece as well as where I'm moving it in quick succession.

Yeah, I play a ten inch fire, and I would love to do more variants

If I got the notifications in the app too, that would be great
