Club Search is very flawed!

Club search results should also display clubs that have location matching the search. Currently the location is essentially useless as people searching for that location can't actually find the club unless the location is explicitly mentioned in the club name.

See what I mean, here's my club name and page:

Guelph is in my club location and at the top of the "Info" section yet it does not appear when searching Guelph in Club Search.
This is seriously flawed! Please make a change ASAP so clubs become discoverable for people searching for the city/location.

I think they didn't count the club's location, but I guess that would be a great add

Location is dictated by the location selected in the Club Settings, in this case, Canada!!!

Here's what's in my Club Settings:

The location should be included in search results but it's not. Try searching "Guelph" in club search, you won't find my club despite it being in the Location field.

We intend to rework club search considerably within the next year to add a lot more searching capabilities.

Hey nice to see you here! Would it also be possible for you guys to display the other ratings for member lists (right now all we see is Daily rating which is really not the accurate rating for most people). I feel like that might be easier to implement in the short term. Thanks!

Maybe also try to add some topics and search specifically for social clubs, vote chess clubs and so ;3

@jdcannon: As you know, Chess.com is causing problems for clubs, their admins and leagues every single day (and already for years): Chess.com simply is strangling them.

Nice to read your announcement improving "searching capabilities" in 2024. Unfortunately this sounds to be far away from our problems: We need more concrete action right now.

Sometimes people don't do actual locations for clubs. It is like for your profile so I guess that's why chess.com hasn't made it like that yet
