I don't think so, it is that simple to test it out and reload the page.
Contradiction
My experience is that Notes are saved automatically, as they are written. I've experimented with (1) writing a Note and hitting the Save button, and (2) writing a Note and closing the Notes dialogue box without hitting the Save button; and I get the same result each way.
I suggest deleting the "Save" button -- it's unnecessary and confusing. For "extra credit," I'd recommend replacing the Save button with a friendly note saying something along the lines of "Your Notes will be saved automatically when you leave this page."

In a lot of apps I use, there is a message saying "last saved..." And then as I type it changes the time to just now. Others change to "edited" and then again to "saved" after a few seconds. Either of those replacing the current save button would also be cool. ![]()
