Couldn't make wrong move in this tactic, was impossible ... until I made the right move

then the program let me!

Very strange.

Excuse me for making such a bad move but after it wouldn't move (it would select / turn blue, but not be able to be placed) I was like ! this is weird, so I kept trying over and over and it refused to let me make the wrong move lol.

Then I tried the correct move, and it let me!

I have screenshotted the starting position for the tactic.

LXQtlubuntu18.04 with the latest firefox

Nup that is actually the second move after the black knight at b6 was taken. At first I tried the N to B6 but this was the move that would not effect.

The squares get highlighted due to the move, but the pieces fail to move themselves to their new positions... and retreat back to where they were. They will only move to their new position if it is the correct solution.

I tried to move a piece in tactics, and it Wouldn't Move.

Then I moved the right piece, and it moved. Not good!

I've  played nearly 1000 tactics btw

MM I am quite sick with a head cold though lol

I'll try it again and see  how it was different to  other tactics

There's two bugs we're talking about on the forum. 

1. You can solve a tactic no matter where you move the pieces.

2. The pieces will only move to a spot if it's the correct solution. 

Ok well I went back to tactics to see what should happen, and it was definitely broken - the thing I posted this about.

Usually when you select a piece  you can move it, and THEN it tells you you made the wrong move.

Last night just before I started this thread, you select the piece, it does change to blue, but then IT WOULDN'T MOVE.

Like I said I was like ... hang on, wtf, kept trying to move it, Would NOT move. So then I tried moving the other piece, and being the correct move (?) or just the next move that I tried to make, it would then move.

So you see I got the tactic SOLVED with the tick, even though I should have got it incorrect.

Really this was a super serious glitch if it is affecting people's ratings don't you think.

I can't exactly recreate it from what I know, I've gone into tactics again and clicked on this one I eroneously got right, but of course I can only play it through now I couldn't actually do it myself.

If someone reminded me how to try this tactic again with a possibility of getting it right / wrong maybe I could see if the same OS same browser would cause this serious glitch to happen again.

Cheery, hope you guys manage to understand what I am saying even though I have this diabolical head cold, does NOT mean that this is not a Serious Glitch.

tg someone else having this issue they all talking to me like I was barmy

having a break from being sick on some guarana and vodka surprised no one really caring about this issue as it really is very important. 

it's like you can select the wrong piece but not move it eh, like you see in my OP i got told by the program i had the answer correct! 

so i got credit for it but yeh not even close, i was dead wrong just prevented from BEING wrong.
