1. Nf3: Zukertort Opening (or Reti Opening)

1. e3: Van’t Kruijs Opening

1. c4: English Opening

1. Nf3 ~

2. e3. ~

3. c4. ~

It was in my intention to convey such build up as white, practically queen's gambit without d4.

Secondly, the club invitation description features some grammar mistakes, which would, in my view, need review, which I would find the will for, were it approved for change. I opened another forum on it, submitted a potential rival wording and am yet in need of reply.

Nimzo-Indian Defense: Classical variant for white

The point of this opening is to control the critical e4 square.

Here is a typical example of how the opening is played

When would you try a d5 push?

I never reach such a position in specific cases, but when black evades center fights, I sometimes get the decision whether to push a pawn (mostly c-pawn).

Here is a variant of the Indian Game where you push the d-pawn to d5
