Indeed! That looks great!

It is not all my own work so i can't take all the credit. It is from one of the Judge's Guild Village Books, I'm not sure which one as the cover has come off it. Basically I have taken the village and expanded it to suit my own needs.

I have a few more of JG's books somewhere, I think they were the castle book and the island book, although I hardly used those. The village books were very useful.

I have just looked in the village book and found the following maps. These look like they were done by one of my friends, either Theo (aka the Ettin) or Rich (aka Asberdies the lich).

Hey, DeepGreene, off topic: I just sent a group invite for tournaments and, voila, those out of the rating range were filtered out! That's great! Thank you for submitting that ticket for me! I love that change; now I don't have to worry about bothering people with invites out of their rating range!

Here's a map done by Theo when he was DMing an adventure where I played Yhtomit Sgnilwar, my gnome fighter/illusionist. Unfortunately I incurred the wrath of the Egyptian deity Horus during the adventure and now there is a bounty on my head. Fortunately I live on a different prime material plane from where this adventure took place but I have had a couple of attempts on my life.

You have great idaes for maps, glaf. You have givin me some ideas for my maps. I am working on a dragon adventure. Called, The Mountain Of The Dragon King.

Thanks BlueKnight. That sounds like a heavy adventure, what level characters is that for? Is it part of a campaign or just a one off adventure?

TheBlueKnight9

Its for character class 18. I think its going to be a campaign. I am working a creating a village right now, thats outside of the mountain. I was thinking of having an orc raid on it as the pcs are there as well, that really starts to get into the story of the mountain. Theres the dragon of course, that will be fun. As well as lots of monsters in the mountain! Theres a hidden door into the mountain as well. Its going to be some fun!

i was always a very on-the-fly DM. my players knew my "map-short-hand" i.e. little triangles= water, big triangle=mountains, squiggly lines was rough terrain:forest, jungle, destert tundra ect. squares were forts or towns. inside mapes of rooms or dungeons had their own shorthand things to represent. i hated players who had mental images of buildings in their head, or were trying to draft a picture of it as we went. id give measurments of rooms that made NO sense if you actualy try to put it together as a cohesive structure and theyd call me out on that, "You have no idea what this place looks like do you jesse? youre just making crap up as we go" pshhh yeah dude if i take down this DM screen its just random dice, a note pad im doodling on and doing combat math on, and my coffee...
