I don't think its delay but this is what happens after (In low time) my opponet moves they always seem to get a second back and this is WITHOUT incrament then after i move it delays for about a second then it starts to tick down but none of these 'advantages' ever happen to me it just goes down down and down

I don't think this is delay but please fix very fustrating problem! I have lost many games even though i had more time orginally and i was Pre-Moving.

Please tell me if this is bug or delay if bug please fix!

Before a CC admin jumps in and tried to blame it on the ISP, etc.  I just want to say I experience these problems too; however, right after a CC game I sometimes go to Lichess, yet it is fine over there.

it is because chess.com compensates for lag

Uploading speed, or maybe all the packets don't reach the server at a short interval.

Opponent NEVER gets extra tme.

It sometimes appears like they do, sometimes you make a move and see their time go down to let's say 30s, then they make a move and they have 32s.
It could be that you are disconnected for a while and see your "local" timer for the opponent, and when you reconnect, you see the actual time.

If it's lag compensation maybe the lag could be delayed, instead of added, so that the timer never goes up

It happens throughout the game and it impacts your clock too; your opponents will see your time increase as well. It is mainly noticeable when low on time.

There is nothing to fix, it is working as designed.

But why would you increase your oppenets time when their is no increment

Avatar of destroyer8470_Inactive

And also my connection is perfect their is no lag at all! every other website never has lag like this so im 100% certain its not lag

Same here, the server always rounds the time to the nearest second.

There should be a special time controls with delays to prevent this from happening.

agreed because the amount of times my oppenet didnt go under 1 sec for around 5 moves (no incremant) is crazy!
