I love listening to Gambit by Blue Wednesday and I love playing chess now and I loving the music made by Lofi Girl.
Favorite song on the Lofi Girl x Chess.com album?
I never knew about this wonderful phenomenon. I didn't know what was going on - I'd never heard of Lofi Girl.
So, I went to YouTube Music, looked her up, and I am in love already. I'd forgotten how much I love this type of music - I used to listen to this kind of music years ago, and then life intervened and I just kind of drifted away from it because I like many kinds of music.
Now here I am, listening to one of her YouTube offerings, and I feel wonderful.
Can someone post a link to the chess music here, so I can listen to it?
Thanks! 🙂🎵🩷
Oh, I found it. It's wonderful. Haven't heard the whole thing yet. I love the detail in the video. Notice that Mittens is on one of the lower shelves (and the cat stripes are correct on hers, unlike the plushie one on offer here, which is wrong...) And whose game is that, that she's playing? Notice that the move list updates, and everything.
I think "En passant" is my favorite. But it is all very nice. I find myself smiling a lot.
Notice that she wins her games.
I love Clock's Ticking - the new game sound plays shortly after the intro!
Yes, it does!
In addition to En Passant, I also particularly like Castles, Rook, Clocks Ticking, Possibilities, Rays of Light, and Introspection.
But really, they are all nice. I like playing this music during Chessable lessons (when I'm not watching video) and when doing puzzles. 🙂🩷
Lofi Girl music makes me feel so content, but I just saw something that is sad. There's a video that shows her remembering her parents when she and her cat were little, and she starts crying. Are her parents dead, or does she just miss them because she's studying in the city?
Here is something else from Lofi Girl: it's also great to listen to (while I study at Chessable, for example - that's studying and chess, both! 🙂) that's similar in style to the special chess Lofi Girl.

It's the best of 2022, and it's over 3 hours long!
I assume they will make a 2023 retrospective, too.
Enjoy! 🩷
I've been spinning beats to play chess to all weekend (while playing chess of course), and I really, really love the opener "Castles". What are some of your favorites?
