Forum topic editor bug in V3

I tried (elsewhere) to compose a post with bullets on various indentation levels. They all collapsed to the left. Let me try to reproduce the problem:

• First level
  • Second level
    • Third level

Now I am going to take a snapshot of the above and include below. Then post and see what happens. Browser info:

Version: 38.0.2220.41 - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Mac OS X 10.10.5 64-bit

Alas, as expected (but not desired). No difference in the indentation levels.

How about if I paste from an external editor?

Please use the report a bug feature (and you can reference this forum post) and it will sent to a developer to take a look at.

Formats are not copying too!

I do not quite understand as it looks like it pasted Ok to me. Are you talking about color not being the same. ?? If so you know this is a text box that will allow you to post a graphic file. If you were to convert the Google sheet to a jpeg or graphic file of some sort the colors and and everything would be the same. Text boxes generally always react like that to pasted content from other programs. ??

Oh yes Riker. I'm talking about colours and column width, font size etc. Well, it is perfectly okay with V2! V2 copies all as it is in a Google sheet! V3 is advanced so the text box of V3 should allow copying formats too.

Hmm I really do not think they have made the text box any more advanced. Seems to me to be just a basic text box that allows image inserts, game boards, diagrams & videos. Just like in windows notepad and wordpad the formatting used in other word processors do not transfer the same at all. I really do not know if made different then V2 or a bug. To be sure I guess you need to submit a bug report and let the programers look at it. Due to you knowing the exact issues involved you should submit the bug report and explain the best you can so they can investigate ??

Interesting. The original problem got fixed and the bullets are now indented differently, just as intended. Except quoting this thing does not seem to work -- they all collapse into a single line in the quoted text.

I've made a sample in Google Sheets to explain my problem. I've simply copied it from Google Sheets and...

A. ...pasted in V2.

B. ...pasted in V3.

See the difference between A and B. The source is same but the result is different in both version!

V3 should copy formats too with the text.

Thanks very much, chess.com, for solving my problem with copy-paste! Now in V3, textbox captures formatting too while pasting from Google Sheets!
