Franklin vs Silva

Anyone else think that was a poor decision on Saturday evening. At one point Franklin was clearly gone and Silva should have done a more clinical job than he did to finish it off.Silva was also the aggressor throughout the fight, now I'm not the best person to ask about UFC judgments and the scoreing system .I understand that points are given when a fighter is put to the ground and for punches and kicks landed and effort made but I think points should be given for having the largest balls because Silva has got a pair and Frankly they Were bigger than Franklins and that should have won it for him. This is the first I have watched a UFC card from start to finish the the Mustapha Vs Mirko Cro cop was a bit of a miss match Mustapha after 1 minute wanted nothing to do more than get the hell outta there.

WanderleiS

I am slightly biased towards Wanderlei, but I also think he won the fight.  I think Rich won the first round, Wanderlei the second and the third was debatable.  Rich only won that round because he took Wanderlei down while Wanderlei was kicking his ass.  I think Wanderlei's early exhaustion was due to the fact that he had to cut weight for this fight, he's never done that before.

As for Cro Cop's fight, it was slightly disapointing, they should have given him a better opponent.  I heard after the fight that Cro Cop signed a deal with DREAM in Japan, so he won't be fighting in the UFC anytime soon.

I am no expert on UFC but have fought a bit myself and judging by what I saw CroCop hasn't got the nimbleness, if thats a word for UFC.It appears you need to be pretty light on your feet and unlike kickboxing need to be up on your toes more, resembling boxing, which I do know a little about. And muscle in boxing needs to be utilised well. You know you could have the big muscles and only use 40% of that power, or the smaller muscles but use 95% of that power and carrying less weight around, you get me,and CroCop is of the first ilk I dont think UFC will be missing much fortunately ,Except maybe the revenue from tickets from his name. I did hear during the commentary that this was his second foray into UFC, his first was pretty poor and given a decent fighter his second wouldn't have been better.I agree with you about Wanderlei he was all over Franklin and then just toward the end Franklin took him down.Do you think it was as close as one take down?
