When they play f6 on the second move AKA the Damiano defense, you should sacrifice the Knight by taking on e5 and after they recapture, deliver a check with the Queen on h5. If they block with g6, Qxe5+ is a fork of the king and rook and you win material. If they instead play Ke7, after 5.Qxe5+ Kf7 and 6.Bc4+ a mate will soon follow. A good game nevertheless! That is why f6 should never be played, as Ben Finegold says.

Hi, I'll share my games from today's OTB tournament, where I scored 2.5/5 and got the fifth Polish category. I got the games 2 to 5 written down, some of the games I'll share have extremely silly/dumb mistakes, but it was so hot in the room we were playing in that it was hard to focus, and in game two, my mind mixed two plans together and I blundered the queen, lol.

Brilliant bishop sacrifices from last week and today:
Fun fact is that 62.5% of my brilliants are bishop sacrifices.
I was accused of cheating over chat and then blocked which makes it even more hilarious, such a nice checkmate pattern from such a bad game from when I was tilting my way down to 1400

You ever make a move and immediately go...."Well crap". For context, I had just won one of the best/most accurate games I have ever played. However, I missed the classic Queen/Knight smothered mate we have all probably played in countless puzzles. THEN I saw an opportunity to achieve it yet again in this very next game I played...................or so I thought. What's crazy is that I still had it, I just played the wrong move order. I play Black here:
P.S. If both White and Black missing a blundered QxR for two moves isn't 900elo chess, then I don't know what is

For the smothered mate, you should've played:
Other than that, the game was good. There were some blunders, like white giving away the queen, but the rest of the game can be called pretty solid.
