I have just joined Beta to check on things. My only response is: WHY

WHY

Why do you feel the need to mess up a perfectly good sidebar? Why are you moving notifications, friends, and messages to the bottom of the sidebar? What's wrong with leaving them where they were? Why do you hate leaving perfectly acceptable UIs alone? If you want to change the UI, ADD A TOGGLE

That way, if someone would like to use the new UI, they can toggle it on. If they don't like it, they're not forced to use it.

To open notifications, I have to click on it ;-;

As an added atrocity, to get to the messages section, I have to click on the messages icon and then click a message.

The old UI isn't coming back.

It's an update...soon it will all be the same.

I will be leaving Beta soon so I don't have to continue to put up with the annoying UI.

The buttons look cool but the format is kinda cooked

idk i got used to the new ui so im fine with it

I posted in the notes as well, but the site won't maintain multiple versions long term. Doing something like that requires twice the maintenance and updates.

This is correct. While it's only Beta there will be two but at some point the new nav UI will be released site wide and the old code will be removed completely.

Me as well and I've only been in Beta for two hours - I like the changes and love the new pin concept, by the way. Change is uncomfortable but usually for the good, sans minor bugs. It'll settle (as we will) as they identify (thanks to us) what needs to be tweaked!

Only if you want it. YOU choose what goes on it. You may wish to read up on it and try it out. I'm now excited that if they eventually allow us to drag and drop (or) change the order (assign sequence number to them?) Anyway, IIRC, the sidebar will be more like YOUR space how you want!
