Creating a training schedule: to community members, how have you organized your training schedule? What have you learned works for you and doesn't work for you?

Goal setting and weekly progress: This is a place to identify your goals and check in on a weekly basis about your progress toward goals. It's also a place to ask for help, if you are stuck on something (related to training and goal setting).

Title: Fair Play
- Cheating - how do you know if someone is?
- Stalling / Quitting games - How best to deal with this?
- Sandbagging (rating manipulation) - What's this all about?
... and why do I sometimes come across people who are gaining and losing lots of rating points for every game they win or lose. Do they have some kind of software hack going on?
- What experiences have you had?

pple losing or gaining lots of rating points per game means that they recently started playing in that time control

Are doing puzzles really worth it?
It seems to me as though it doesnt really apply to actual games where your approach to playing moves is different. Theres not a clear tactic in every position.
If it is worth it, how much should we do it and what is the best way to learn from puzzles?
We can do normal puzzles, puzzle rush, etc.. and there different ways to practice puzzles. But which one is the best practically for playing games?

Or someone stronger will get a higher rating for them. Then he plays alone and loses a large part of the rating.

Playing a opening that you like or learning a fun one worked for me when i was tilting. You can also try playing a diff game mode for refreshing ur mind

Doing puzzles certainly helps with spotting tricky moves. I recommend solving puzzles on lichess rather than chess.com. Focusing on normal puzzles is sufficient .Once you get good at them, you'll be able to spot tricky moves faster, which will also improve your Puzzle Rush score

Title: Physical Aspects of Chess
I feel like a lot of people forget to mention how taking care of the physical body can led to chess improvement. The forum would be used as place for people to ask how chess and health go hand and hand. Some questions that should be asked are:
What is the proper diet for a chess player? (if any)
How to improve your stamina during tournament play? GMs sometimes play on average 4 hours+ of high intensity games a day. It would be great to know how that is achieved.
Does good sleeping habits and daily exercise play a crucial part?
What foods should I eat to improve my memorization and calculation?
A forum on this would be greatly appreciated, especially with the fact that this information is rarely available or explained in depth

1. Cheating is pretty easy to detect if it's done badly. This is my three step method to almost be 100% sure. A ton of cheating around 2k so it comes up a lot. Step 1, time use. Every move in 6-8 seconds is a tell. 2. Accuracy score across all games. If you look at a new account that is 75-3 and every game is above 90%, report. 3. Move weirdness. This one is more subjective, but when I'm playing an opening I know well and they quickly deviate and then it turns out that idea was totally brilliant its extremely weird. Or in a position when their is a natural move and instead they play a tempo wasting move, for example, it rings the alarm bells. When combined with the others it's a sure sign. Don't report someone for a good game, but look into their profile and make a decision and let fair play take it from there.
2. Stalling and quitting. I just ignore this its part of online chess. You get the points anyway. It bad manners but oh well.
3. Rating manipulation. They aren't cheating if they gain or lose a lot. It means they either are on a new account or haven't played in a while. Think of it like placement games in an FPS, the rating will adjust based on the skill to put them at the right rank. Again, someone who throws their rating away to play low rated players and farm is annoying but also so it goes. You can report it if you want but to me its a non-issue compared to cheating.
Hope that clarifies some things.
