I managed to gain +800 Elo in puzzles in 9 days after coming back to chess after 1 year.
Improvers Recognition/Shoutouts
I stopped resigning so early. Best thing I ever did. Easy +400 elo in one month
Yes man, it helps a lot!
In fact, now the most fun part of the game for me is defending.
Because I don’t have time to study openings or read blog posts much, I very often find myself in positions where I have to defend. And all that practice of not resigning in games really helps a lot.
@Leviackerman594 This thread is for recognizing other players’s deeds, not your own. For that, you can use the Accomplishments and Celebrations one, which you already know about, since you posted there.

I just hit my first goal of 2026 with 1900 rapid! I'd like to shout-out my 4 best friends on here, @Str0n6h0LD, @KiriyamaKazuo, @QueenSlider, and @MagicalNesquik. They've continued to be supportive and they all have really helped me not only improve but have fun with the game! I could never have gotten here without them! Also shout-outs to @Old-Scool-Apex, @TheGambiterOfChess, and @MoxieM99 for their help and support!
