If you invite a friend who is likely to be particularly interested by posting a note on their page, it won't be a problem.

If you spam invites to hundreds of people, you're likely to get muted.  I've seen multiple people get muted for this.

Is it okay to send a single short identical PM to hundreds of members of your team encouraging them to join an important match which they have not yet joined? (I am due to be doing this tomorrow for a certain match.)

If you restrict it to team members - who have the option to leave and thus avoid it - it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks MGleason, that's reassuring. This is a measure which this particular team only takes for the rare specially important matches, and the PMs (sent a week or so after the news posts and only to those who have not already entered) do seem to result in a lot of extra players.

Can admins send club link in private to player?

If you send one or two to someone who has a particular reason to be likely to be interested, it won't be a problem.  If you spam hundreds of them, that's not OK.

Mass broadcast messages should be restricted to members of your club who have the option to leave if they don't want to receive it.

I send to many members in two days

And after I know this rule

I stop it

Chess.com ban me or no?

Avatar of MGleason

If you stop, no.

Sending PMs for important matches has become "traditional". Indeed, I've had more members of my clubs thank me for reminding them (or telling them, if they've too many notifications turned off) about a match than I have had complaints.

That said, I wouldn't oppose changing the policy. Some teams would play less strongly, but there'd be less work for admins too!
