7-zip should work fine to unzip with.

Either

7-Zip -> Extract Here

or

7-Zip -> Extract files

I just tried both methods with 7-Zip without issues.

Just make sure you do it on the zip folder. Do not open the zip folder.

Calling it a zip file or a zipped folder doesn't really matter. It's the same as was downloaded and should not be opened. You can see its type:

I could reproduce one error. I tried to repeat the download and extract, but with the only difference that I did not move the zip to another location. In the download folder itself I extracted it. Then doubleclicked the .exe.

But clicking "More info" reveals a button "run anyway"
