yes this happens when you are about to make a great king move, as it increases the king to represent your huge brain. however, when a bad move is about to be played, the king decreases size to represent your small brain. thus, you should take it as a warning if your king turns small while making a king move.

If my king is picked up while simultaneously changing the size of the Chess.com tab, the king disproportionately changes size, becoming either absurdly large or small.
