KOTL Tier List

Version 3 of the KOTL tier list. Updated as of 5/25/2020

This tier list is based on a combination of factors, which include but are not limited to overall posts, overall ppd, quality, consistency, and innovation.

I am above HT on a level so great nobody else is even close to

S tier: The absolute best of the best. 

S+ 

@HorribleTomato - The one and only member of this part of the tier list. The original maker of KOTL, and the biggest one of all time. Throughout the years, quality games have continually been created and played there, and every other KOTL and KOTL-style game on the forums can be attributed to him.The best there is. 

A tier: Good, important KOTLs

@hitthepin - The Flipside started off rather slow, and after a thousand or so posts, went onto a hiatus. However, its recent revamping has drawn critical acclaim, catapulting it to the second-largest KOTL of all time. This was the KOTL that really brought pavilion drops to the spotlight, and was the precursor to trick boxes. You can see the influence that the Flipside has left on KOTLs such as Austin’s, Jeb’s, and even the original. 

@ChessNerd1320 - “The Bad KOTL” is a very incorrect name. It is a very good KOTL. In just a month, it managed to become the fourth-largest KOTL ever created. A mixing of different survival and head-to-head games played there has ensured its popularity among both new and old KOTL players.

@Angel9505 - Angel has helped standardize and modernize the cult classic of Murder Mystery, as well as providing a clear and logical explanation to the rules in order to help keep the game fun and fair for everyone. Despite currently being the fifth-largest KOTL, it is still worthy of being in the A-tier. Unfortunately, she hasn’t done much aside from the topic of Murder Mystery, putting her at a simple A-.

B tier: Above-average KOTLs that are worth a look at. 

@toxicnessmain - Toxic is another new player on the KOTL block. Having garnered nearly 4000 posts in a mere 32 days, his games are mostly played by other new KOTL folk, and take heavy inspiration from popular Nintendo games. 

@AustinXJet - Austin’s MOAR constantly goes through periods of waxing and waning. A far superior version to his first MOAR, which fared rather poorly, MOAR 2 has managed to gain a couple thousand posts, and a variety of classics such as Rob the Museum and Survival games are played there. 

C tier: Average, meh, and boring KOTLs

@rychessmaster1 - Kind of the Ladder was once the long-standing second-largest KOTL until the Flipside dethroned it. It currently sits in a state of defunct, with no games being played there at all. What was once one of the largest hives of KOTL activity is now gone, reduced to atoms.

@Jebediah_mushroom - A guy with two KOTLs, one of which has been subject to a rather suprising amount of popularity. The few hundred posts that Jeb managed to gather in just a few days pushes Jeb out of the D tier and is most certainly worthy of mention.

@HolographWars - Virtual Reality Battle Arena had great potential to open up all sorts of different games that could be played. The initial hype around it resulted in the thread becoming the sixth-largest KOTL, even to this day. Nowadays, though, the mod mostly spends his time listening to old music and playing Krunker.

C-

@thegreatauk - Auk is one of the best KOTL players. However, his own KOTL isn’t very popular, only gaining posts in short spurts. Auk seems quite fine with this - he prefers to spend his time also listening to old music, as well as kicking *ss in all the other KOTLs. 

D tier: The dead, dull, boring, bad KOTLs. 

No analysis or explanation is really needed here. If you believe that a KOTL in the D-tier should have been sorted higher, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Well you have described my KOTL pretty accurately, Except I only play in angel's and HT's KOTL but I might join another at some point. One note is Angel goes by "she" so you might wish to edit that. Anyway thanks for making.

If you want more posts, my tier list isn’t really going to help. Take a page out of Jeb’s book and advertise everywhere or something.
